This hook is all metal and easily hung over the spigot. The hose we have has the rubber no kink connection at the spigot and you have to slide the hook to the side to get the hose under it and hung on the hook, but that's no big deal. Since it's metal and seems coated pretty well, it seems like it would last. The spigot we hang it on is a couple of feet off of the ground so there's no issue hanging the hose on it since it hangs down a bit. We have another spigot we tried it on, but it hung too low to work. This is going to work best for spigots a couple of feet off of the ground and with the flexible, pocket hose type hoses.
