I can launch rigs easy-paired with an 9' 6" or 8' avid surf rod. I have several Thunnus ci4+ baitrunners and the difference is night and day. Larger spools, better line lay and a smoother retrieve.

I buy this reel more than a year - Really good, the reel really big and hold lot of fishing line. I catch lot of couple Stripe bass over 40inch and over 26lb fish - feel nothing.
