I also went to all the local stores here - Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joann's, etc. - and could not find a light wood and the frames they did have were cheap materials and more expensive. An girl I follow on Instagram (juniperprintshop) recommended this frame and it is exactly what I was looking for. The birch is so pretty! Very clean and modern. The frame is thin from the front but the sides are thicker which I love. My only complaint is the acrylic and cardboard in the frame were a but hard to dust because the cardboard left a lot of dust on the inside of the acrylic.
