Much like having a memory foam mattress delivered, you have to smoosh it into shape and after just a couple minutes it looks as it should. They're very plush and pillowy. I had hardly walked away to take a pic of them and one of my dogs was already on it and hasn't left since. But it's a nice enough bed for the money, the color is perfect (purple for the Baltimore Ravens), and our dog sleeps in it. We added another dog mattress to put inside to give an "orthopedic" feel.
