Do the shapes come out clearly enough with sugar paste/icing?** A: It should be possible. As long as the sugar paste is thick enough and cold-iced, it is easy to make a clear shape model. **Q: Can these molds be used for resin molds?** A: I would not say so. They are very small and fiddly, there is no support at the back of the mold to help with a flat surface **Q: Are these suitable for wax melts?** A: I don't think so, they are tiny. I would suggest their best use is for chocolate/sweet making. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic looking chess figures :) *by A***R on 23 January 2021* First time I used this mold and I am very happy with the result :)I made sure I don't overfill the chocolate when I poured it in the mold and wiped the sides. The figures are fairly small and delicate therefore they very quickly set in the fridge.We had a good few casualties - including pretty much every single pawns! Bear in mind, I think it's the design of the pawn itself, having a very narrow neck, not the actual mold's fault. I certainly took my time and was very careful when removed them but could not get one out without getting them broken.Anyway, I could easily fix it with a tiny drop of melted chocolate ;) I managed to put the broken pieces back together very quickly and I didn't need to redo any of the figures this way + I don't think you could tell!The queen's crown is completely hopeless to do in my opinion, it's so so tiny, I found it impossible to work with it, and didn't even pour chocolate to the top part at the end. The king and queen looks slightly different so I didn't mind...All in all, I think they look great and everyone loved them! :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Could be better *by D***G on 28 February 2022* I used this for chocolate. Works best if you overfill to reinforce the tiny molded chocolate shapes so easier to remove without breaking, then trim down with scalpel once removed from mold. Also, the mold doesn't lie flat, so had to create a pad underneath to support and level it out. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Okay for price *by W***S on 4 January 2020* The mould bends near the tops of the top row of pieces and this means it becomes difficult to put the pieces together later.
