Review: Worked for US! - I purposely waited for enough time to pass after using this product to judge it fairly. After giving it to our 11 year old border collie Bella for about 9 months, I can honestly say I’m convinced it works – at least for us! In the last year or so, Bella had developed the greenish-gray eye cloudiness often seen in older dogs. Worse, it was noticeably affecting her vision. This dog who had always been alert and keenly aware of her surroundings, was now obviously not noticing her neighborhood “friends” coming toward her on her walks. She was becoming increasingly less interested in sitting in her chair that looks out the front window because I think she just could no longer see the world going by. We pointed this out to our vet on a routine check-up and he mentioned the common eye cloudiness that older dogs get, and also the possibility of cataracts, but otherwise gave her a clean bill of health. So now the ball was in our court as to what if anything we would do about it. As a sort of “Hail Mary”, I turned to desertcart to look for any product that might offer some positive results. I settled on “Vision Bites” because of the large number of reviews, the vast majority of which were positive. But with more than a little skepticism, I ordered our first jar. After all, how much good could a dietary supplement do? As per the instructions, we started with small doses and worked our way up to one complete nugget twice a day to avoid any possible indigestion. We experienced none of that, but this dog has always had a cast iron stomach. A very few people reported that their dog wouldn’t eat them. I would encourage them to find a way disguise it in some other food to give it a chance to work. Fortunately for us, Bella never met a food she didn’t like, and she goes for these treats first on the top of her food. As previously mentioned, I had a lot of doubt about how much good could come from a dietary supplement. That is, until my wife and I recently had our routine visit with our eye doctor. She was telling us how they are seeing much fewer cases of macular degeneration than they used to. She said it is attributed to the fact that we have fresh fruits and vegetables available year round. People are eating more of them and it apparently is making a huge difference, She said anything with color has a major benefit for your vision. So in a sense, eating is seeing, and seeing is believing. So what have been the results with Bella? First of all, don’t expect any overnight miracles. I believe it was two or three weeks before I was fairly certain I could notice a slight difference. The cloudiness in her eyes was just slightly less, and she seemed to be a little more aware and confident of her surroundings, especially on our walks. This progress slowly continued to where we are today. Bella now sits in her chair again and barks or squeaks as she deems necessary, at the world going by. She gets excited when she (apparently) sees her BFF, a Golden Lab, halfway up the street. She picks up and gives the appropriate greeting to other dogs she sees on our walks from a distance of at least 500 feet. The greenish color can still be seen in her eyes in certain lighting (I think this is fairly normal for older dogs), but the cloudiness is gone. Overall, I consider this a huge improvement. I did a small internet search on these eye conditions in older dogs. There are a number of causes of the eye cloudiness; some serious, some fairly benign. I would urge everyone to check with their vet first – particularly if there was a very sudden onset of symptoms. But if the vet shrugs it off as a condition due to normal aging, I would strongly suggest that these “Vision Bites” be given a chance. I don’t know that Bella’s vision is normal, in fact I’m pretty sure it isn’t. She has for some time exhibited signs of far-sightedness (difficulty seeing things directly under her nose), but so did our last border collie. It may be peculiar to this breed, or to dogs in general. All I do know is Bella’s quality of life is better now than when we started this regimen, and I’ll take that in a heart beat every time!
Review: Eye Suplement well worth the investment - Was skeptical, but have been giving my dog these treats and the clouds in her eyes have really shrunk down. The clouds where getting almost as big as her entire eyes. But now there is minimal cloud. I know her sight was weakening as at night I have been needing to turn the light on so she could jump up on the bed- but now she is back to jumping up in the dark. I recommend these

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Were these replaced with a different product?**
A: yes it was replaced with a different product when apparently Vision Bites not available. My dog refused to eat the replacement, (so I donated to my Vet). Then Vision Bites became available once again... Dyna readily eats this "treat" daily. Has been on it way over a year when a little cloud started - is now barely noticeable...

**Q: Zesty Paws, Any other flavor but Chicken?**
A: Hi, there!

Thank you so much for a great question! 😊 The Vision Bites comes only in Chicken flavor. If you are interested in trying another product, we would also be happy to recommend some that may provide your pups with the benefits you were hoping for! What health goals are you trying to achieve for them?

If you (or your pup!) have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to message us directly.

We're here to lend a paw! 🐾

**Q: I have small 6-lb dog. Should I give him 1/2 chew instead?**
A: Our dog is about 12 pounds and I give him a chew each morning. Perhaps start your dog off with 1/2 in the morning and then 1/2 at night if you are concerned with giving all of it at one time. The instructions for dispensing state 1 chew for dogs up to 25 pounds, I believe, so I would go with that or perhaps send a note to the manufacturer and ask them. But I, personally, would go with 1/2 chew in the morning and make sure everything is okay, and then add the other half at night.

**Q: does this actually have chicken in it or is it vegan?**
A: The label says it contains natural chicken flavor, and cod liver oil. That wouldn’t be vegan. But, my dogs love them! Dogs need/crave meat.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Noticed Better Alertness in My Senior Puppy
*by T***T on April 17, 2026*

I got these for my 10-year-old Shih Tzu to help with his vision, and I do think they’re making a difference. He seems a lot more alert and is tracking things much better than before. I was hoping to help slow down some of the fogginess in his eyes, and I feel like I’ve seen some improvement. It’s always hard to know exactly how much is from the supplement, but I’ve noticed enough of a change to keep using them. Pros: easy to give, seems to improve alertness, good for senior dogs Cons: results may vary Would I recommend? Yes—worth trying for aging dogs
