## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for practice
*by R***A on September 10, 2024*

I bought this to travel with instead of lugging my classical guitar around. I travel a lot and this smaller guitar made it easier to 'go' with. The action is good, but it walks off my leg a little. I have simply tied a string around the guitar and my leg and all is well. The headphones work great and it makes practicing near lots of people or late at night easier, and yes, they do plug into amps. It looks weird but it works and I do drag it around with me a lot. It serves it's intended purpose just fine. It's missing star because it walks, but that's an easy fix.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this thing is genius.
*by A***R on February 14, 2020*

Looking for a travel nylon string guitar for a while. I usually play a Godin Multiac and so am used to the 'electric classical' feel. This concept looked cool but really there aren't any real reviews of this thing anywhere on the internet yet. The only videos are those produced by the manufacturer and like one unboxing video. Anyway, it came next-day and i've played it for a couple hours now. 1) First, the weird cross setup: It is pure genius. The wood blocks can be placed such that when playing, I can close my eyes and really imagine i'm playing a full-sized thin body guitar. It's completely amazing. You wouldn't think it would feel so good. The only issue is that the bottom end of the guitar has to sit against your right leg- there needs to be a bit more room between leg and strings ideally. However, with a strap, it can be positioned perfectly. (note: there is only one strap peg, you can either thread the top end of the strap through the bolt holding the 'cross' or install another peg). 2) Playability. The action on this thing is slick, way closer to my Godin than to an acoustic nylon hollow body guitar. There is a tiny but of string buzz off the frets at the nut, but this would be easily remedied. Really the setup is nice right out of the box. Way better than I expected. Fast action and can be played extremely quietly with great precision. 3) Tone - unplugged: awesome. amazing for a practice guitar in a quiet setting. Doesn't sound as sweet as the Godin but it has a nice sound of its own that is a little different. Of course, there isn't enough volume to do anything besides practice alone 4) Tone - plugged in: this is the one fault. The pickup and preamp are not of the highest quality. If the inventor guy considered using a third party high-quality electronic installation, I bet this thing could go for double the price and would become a bit of a sensation here in the US. The no-name electronics will turn many players off. (Hey Mr. Tang - I'm sure you will be reading this as this is pretty much the first American review at least that i've seen!). That being said, the tone isn't bad and with proper EQ it gets pretty decent, though not nearly as nice as the Godin. My MAIN issue though it that the undersaddle on the one I got is severely imbalanced, with the bass strings noticeably weaker than the trebles. This is a really common issue even on many big-name nice classical/electric guitars you will see in the store. I could work on it, but I am going to exchange for another just incase its an issue with this particlar item. If the replacement is the same, I love the design and feel so much that I'm determined to get a good pickup setup working. I'll check the saddle flatness and fit, adjust, and if necessary replace the piezo with a Fishman. The little preamp is soldered closed but would be easy enough to get open to install a new piezo. Review would be 5 stars if the piezo was balanced better. If the replacement is better in this regard, I'll update this review. Hope this helps y'all!****update****: recieved replacement today. suprised to report that the pickup issue is essentially resolved! the overall tone on this one is dramatically better than on the first unit. the string balance is overall very good. the low E is still slightly lower in volume, but just barely. the first unit was so bad as to be unplayable live but this one is awesome! also on the first unit, the tone controls on the guitar had to be set to cut all the treble to sound decent, but on the replacement all the tone dials can be in the middle and the tone is great. I'm amazed to say the amplified sound is comparable to my Godin. So im not sure if the first one was defective or if its just a question of poor quality control, but that's the nature of generic electronics i guess. Based on this unit i'm changing the review to 5 stars.Still, the inventor would be well served to consider offering a more premium pickup system....this thing would really shine.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Not worth the money unless you want to spend another $200. To $250.00 to make it playable and right!

The media could not be loaded. Pros: The guitar has a nice mahaghony body that produces a great resonance unplugged . It is well thought and engineered. I cannot comment on the electronics as I couldn’t keep in tone. The engineering and comfort seemed great.Cons: when taking the guitar out of the over ship box , I found the inner shipping box was torn and damaged and had shipping labels on it from previous person. Upon opening the box the guitar was bubble wrapped and in a nice padded case. Taking the instrument out and trying to tune it was a big disappointment ! As can be seen on the attached video the”G” string tuner had an exorbitant amount of play in the defective tuner (as can be seen on attached video) getting in tune and keeping it there was impossible ! I love Taiwanese products! And purchased it because of their reputation! These set of classical guitar tuners were not even up to china’s standards! Another big disappointment was the cheap Asian maple fingerboard. It was an extremely soft maple and not worthy of fingerboard standards! The neck had a bow in it and didn’t want to bother to try to adjust or work with the guitar at this point! Money is not an object so at this point I’m going to wait for the other”Traveler” guitar at the $500. Range, not some second hand broken tuner , neck bowed , return sold as “new”. Return label is being printed as I write the review.
