## Description

Upgrade your Yale Assure Lock or Lever to work with the August app. The Connected by August Kit will allow you to lock/unlock, share access and see who comes and goes all using your August app, from anywhere! For ultimate convenience, your Assure Lock will unlock automatically as you approach the door and it will relock once the door is closed! Lock, unlock or check current status with voice assistants including desertcart Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri.

Review: The product is also not that reliable especially the lock. I have to reset it frequently. I would not buy products of this brand anymore.
Review: Update — August has fixed door sense so updating stars. Giving this 3/5 for now since the Door Sense function is broken and not functional at all. Installing or calibrating door sense is a no go. The screen quickly closes. Door sense detects if the door is closed or not, which is pretty important. It may give a false sense of security if you leave the house and the door didn’t close. The August App will show that the door is locked (deadbolt is extended) but your door can potentially be wide open. It also makes the auto lock feature limited and sometimes annoying. If you have the door open long enough for the auto lock to engage, since August lock door sense doesn’t know recognize that the door is open, it will extend the bolt and try to lock the door. Unless you catch it, closing the door results in you banging the extended bolt on the door frame. Other than that the August app works fine and enables you to lock and unlock the door with your phone.

**Q: does it work with yale yrl220 zigbee touchscreen lock ?**
A: No it does not - i purchased and installed this exact setup.  The August module would not register.  I contacted Yale support and they confirmed that the YRL220 will not work with the August kit due to a firmware limitation.

**Q: Do I use one kit for each smart lock or just a connect wi-fi bridge and several modules?**
A: According to the FAQ you should use separate WiFi bridges for each lock;

How many August Smart Locks can one August Connect device control?

To optimize August Connect's always-on connection, one August Connect is currently needed for each August Smart Lock.

**Q: Where can i buy just the august ble radio module model no md-01 by itself?  i need 2.**
A: If you’re looking for the August Smart Lock, you can buy that on Amazon. 
This page is in reference to the WiFi and Bluetooth Upgrade Kit- Its for Yale Assure Locks only. You cannot purchase the module by itself. It requires the whole kit.

**Q: I have the yale assure lock 256-nr. this is the nr model as in no radio. will this module work with this no radio version?**
A: In Yale 256 the august module works creating a bridge to connect your lock in Wi-Fi.
