The metal that secures the locking pin that holds down the blade in the closed position was broken. The metal is very weak, like pot metal. Luckily only a small piece was broken and it didnt impede the opening/locking. Thier was some springs that came in a small package that i could not figure out where they go to. Guess i didnt need them, but they were included almost like a suplimental addition for some reason. The dust bag does not hold hardly any sawdust. In fact i dont even think that it blows it into the bag. The laser works and is acurate, but its only stuck onto the side and looks like it will either fall off or break easily.Ok..enough of the faults...Honestly, the saw cuts well, both Miters and bevels with ease. Im no carpenter but this certainly makes you feel like one.For the price, and being an ocasional user, its perfect. Worked fine the first few days, then the screw that holds the Blade guard fell out, it was stripped and would not tighten. Then a screw fell out from underneath the blade, not even sure yet where this goes. The power button sticks, and you have to unplug it to get it to turn off. Not very happy with this purchase, just wanted a decent saw that worked good enough for casual usage. I am not a construction person and just do odd jobs around the house.
