I actually wanted to fix the problem instead of returning the product right away! I guess when they raized the price by $20 after I bought it they weren't interested in fixing it. Everything worked, exept for the biometric sensor: when turning it on it displayed a "sensor error..." message. I would think they'd at least explained to me what was going on. We are trying to delete attendance records with no luck.Thank you so much **Q: Does this machine calculate total hours per employee?** A: No. It gives you an odd file type that works in Excel but the time in and time out are both in one cell for the day. You have to manually re-enter the times in separate cells and then create a formula to calculate total time. They should develop software that does this or at least puts the in time and out time in separate cells. **Q: How often do data has to be downloaded? Can it be done once a week when payroll I'd done? Or has to be done daily?** A: You can download data whenever you want, once a week or once a day. **Q: Does this support ID numbers, or does it only read fingerprints?** A: Hello, this device supports both options. The method of inputting text is pretty awful, but the machine works well and reads fingerprints no problem. The documentation is annoying since it's all flowcharts, but I didn't have a problem getting set up and running in under 5 min. If you're looking for an entry-level solution this will work well for you.
