Each chapter even has a coherent storyline, sarcastic banter and a twist for an ending in most situations (not that it really matters, but it sure helps). It’s clever, concise and delivers exactly what you’re looking for when you get the hankering for filthy, smutty fun. We’re treated to naughty nuns, Inquisitors, barbarians, priapian priests, fertility spells and idols, decadent castle guards, endowed servants, scheming merchants, pagan rituals, demons, succubii, compromised virgins and female sexual predators. It’s perfect. The sexual scenarios are many, varied, graphically portrayed and as life-like as you can get in a graphic novel. And the women aren’t victims for the most part; they frequently turn the tables on the men, knowing we don’t usually think with our larger heads. Great stuff. There’s not much more that can be said without being censored or offending the ‘sensitive’ minds of some readers here, but I can honestly state that this is what you want in a digest of this type. Erich Hartmann has done an incredible job, and as soon as I finished this volume, I threw 2 more of his works in my cart. Highly recommended. Review: Nice & Sexy - I found this book----and its sequels----to be fun, "hot" reads. It is clever, amusing,and relentlessly erotic. Hartmann is an excellent graphic artist whose illustration style is evocative of the late comic book master, Gray Morrow. There is a bit of a Morrow "look" to a lot of the layouts, figure poses, costuming, and facial characterizations. That is a good recommendation, I'd say, as Morrow was an excellent pencil & pen storyteller. All of these tales smack of the randy and ribald. Think of Xena & Gabrielle gone buck naked and getting "quarterstaffed" in every available orifice----and then deluged with some strange viscous substance (heh heh) in unbelievable plentitude. Think of something similar to the more outrageous of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales---"The Miller's Tale", "The Reeve's Tale"---set to comic book format in a way you'd NEVER have seen in "Classics Illustrated"! Think of the kind of scandalous (should we say "blasphemic"????) goings on of supposedly upright clergymen in the 19th century erotic classic "The Autobiography of a Flea" (oh, those friars got "upright" alright!!!! "Standing tall" and hard as steel!). All that kind of naughtiness is in full flower here----while succulent young ladies are DE-flowered right and left! And often it is enormous demons with enormous "appendages" DOING the deflowering! And, generally, these poor young girls saying "Don't!!! Stop!!!!"--initially---are soon saying "DON'T stop!!!" once their deflowerers are busily stroking away in them; "plucking their blossoms", as it were. There are "swordswomen" in this book (and the others) who usually are GETTING "sworded" (so to speak), rather than applying any steel blade to any adversary. There are sorcerer's apprentices (distaff, but of course) who get MUCH more than they bargained for when summoning netherworld creatures, and even (in one volume of this series)a Snow White who gets her furrow plowed by seven horny little dwarves in a cabin in the woods. All in all, the Barbarian Chicks & Demons series is a most enjoyable, graphically rendered, naughty romp, and unless you're a TOTALLY blue-nosed prude,you'll find, as John Lennon's lyric reads from the Sgt. I was afraid it was a Heavy Metal type thing but fortunately this is straight up masturbation fodder. The art is good, there's tons of sex, and one great thing is that these stories are about WOMEN'S sexual exploits, mind you this is written for men but what I mean is that this isn't about a bunch of guys going out to get laid or abuse women, but heroines finding themselves in sexual situations in which they come out on top.
