While I read carefully when I purchased the product and expected this to be the case and knew what I was getting into, I still think its deceptive.Even so it was the best deal and these have worked very well. If you have a fungus gnat problem, this is the first step to recovery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great non-invasive way to deal with leaf miners and other insect pests *by D***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2016* I'd planted some nice heirloom golden Hubbard squash seed in my front yard and they'd begun putting out their early leaves. Shortly thereafter, some scumbag leaf miners started burrowing their telltale zig-zag trails in the flesh of the leaves. I began spraying the plants with an organic 3-in-1 solution but my work schedule meant treatments were erratic, so decided to supplement them with these papers. Turned out to be a BIG help.The bright flower-like yellow attracts the flying insects whose larvae burrow into the leaf tissue, and the tacky adhesive (very similar to that used on fly paper) snags them once they land. After the first few weeks the papers were laden with stuck insects, and the proportion of leaves attacked by the miners decreased noticeably.One thing to watch for, keep the papers fairly close to your plants without sticking to them, but at the same time far enough away from soil so that on a breezy day your paper doesn't end up with fine dust stuck to it instead of bugs. Laying mulch atop the soil can help with this, and also help the soil retain moisture and warmth for the plants. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great deal to help treat a fungus gnat problem! *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2017* Great alternative to buying 10 sheets for the same price! But be aware these are not in retail packaging (some might care about that) and you are supposed to tie these to your plant, there are no stakes. I made some stakes out of bamboo bbq skewers and they stick pretty well to those. They are super sticky though (or they wouldn't do the job!) So you will have some sticky fingers when you're done. With more than a dozen houseplants and a growing fungus gnat problem, I didnt care. I used these after treating the soil with bonide systemic houseplant insect control (powder fom), then sprayed the soil with bonide 8 insect control spray. The stickies pick up a lot of the stragglers. The combo is much cheaper than repot ting everything!
