Review: The best hand truck I ever owned. - This is the best hand truck I ever owned. I'm a mobile DJ, so I'm constantly moving my gear in and out of venues. I frequently deal with hotel carts and I owned several hand trucks. I made the mistake of buying the Home Depot special a couple times but those can't handle the load. This hand truck in particular is light weight, versatile and rugged enough to handle heavy loads. The casters are good quality and they roll with easy. Usually my others dollies get stuck on carpets. I used this hand truck on different surfaces such as concrete, carpets, hardwood and tile without issues. The 3-1 positions is my favorite feature. It allows me to maximize the amount of gear I can load on the flat position and it minimize my trips. I will recommend this hand truck to anybody moving things constantly like boxes and others items. This is not an industrial grade hand truck. Do not move heavy things like refrigerators with this hand truck, there are other heavy duty hand trucks designed for that task. Definitely this is the best value for a medium duty hand truck.

**Q: What is the platform size?**
A: 19" wide x 10 1/2" deep. Hope that helps, I can say it's an awesome hand truck.

**Q: So this coverts into a cart and also a hand truck?**
A: Yes, it converts to a cart and a hand truck very easily.  The back separates and slides into either position.  I've used one of these for years in my office and they are very durable.

**Q: Has anyone had trouble with their dolly getting stuck in one position and not being able to open or close it?**
A: If you’ve just gotten it out of the box. The mechanism that folds and collapses have pivot points and it will tend to be a little stiff. Over time it will loosen up. If you don’t use it on a daily basis...make use of it. LOL

**Q: Has anyone used this to move a full size fridge, and how did it preform?**
A: Yes it worked well and very stable

This is perhaps one of the best purchases we've made on Amazon, and we buy a lot of stuff, here! We have had this for a couple of years, and have used this to move furniture and appliances on numerous occasions in both the regular dolly type of mode as well as flat. The extra set of wheels to allow you to have it rest in an inclined dolly mode is fantastic, and really takes the strain off of having to partially support the weight while you're moving. Whether hauling a lot of yard waste up the driveway and out to the curb, or moving boxes it has truly come in handy! It goes from upright to flat with ease, and we've never experienced a problem. Well, it is sort of like having a pickup truck, since friends have borrowed it (so you might say that is a bit of a problem, but a good one). I am SO glad that we didn't go for something less versatile or sturdy. The extra money we spent for this truly heavy-duty model has been worth every penny. Do yourself, your arms, your back, your knees, and your sanity a favor and get this model The only reason I gave it a three star in the light weight category is that it isn't. However, I cannot fault that at all, since I would not want to give up any of the sturdiness that it provides by going with a lighter but probably more flimsy model.
