## Description

These Christian guitar picks feature the ichthys image (sometimes referred to as the "Jesus Fish"). Ichthys means fish in Koine Greek, the original language of the New Testament. ICHTHYS (?????) is an acronym in Greek, which stands for Jesus, Christ, God's, Son, Savior. Additionally there are many fish references in the New Testament. There are fishing-based parables. Many of the disciples were fisherman. Jesus taught them to be "fishers of men." Jesus multiplied fish to feed the multitude. Consequently, the ichthys was a secret Christian symbol used in the face of Roman persecution. These picks are made of high-quality celluloid (technically cellulose acetate nitrate, often referred to as pearloid when accompanied by the textured pearl design). This material is known for its warm tone and natural feel. Thin gauge .47 millimeters thick.
