Calico Critters Camping Set

It seems so simple and overly expensive: Little frame of tent with fabric over it. But if you really look, the thoughtfulness that has gone into making this little set is evident. The seams are tidy, the cat has been made beautifully and is very sturdy. All the items are sturdy! We bought this for my daughter for her third birthday and I was a little afraid she'd crush everything. Most of the tiny pieces have been scattered or vacuumed up (those forks are really small!) but the main elements -- cat, tent, sleeping bag, and the cute back pack -- remain intact and heavy used.

Adorable multi-piece set that is frequently sold on Amazon for the fraction of the price of other local retailers. Same great quality that you love to expect from Calico Critters. Great gift idea for your little dollhouse lover and collector. Such cute designs. Who doesn't love a camping cat?

This is a very cute and detailed ensemble of things for a child to play with. I have bought this for my 5 year old, and I'm pretty sure she's going to love it. I like that the little creature ( mouse/cat? Not sure) has a back pack that some of the tiny pieces, (like sets of knife and fork, mugs, bowls, field guide), can be stored in. My only concern is that things will get lost, although you can stow it all away inside the tent when the child isn't playing with it. Very pretty, lovely quality.

My daughter loved this set, I can't believe all the small parts and details!! Very cute. My daughter is 6 and tried to take the tent apart and one of the pieces broke on the tent, it still stands and can be used - but it seemed to break off quickly.

My daughter loves this. She is 6 and got it for Christmas. Fun to set up and there are adorable little features. Calico critters are built to last. I like how she can remove the clothing and how they provide little things like a camp stove, utensils, etc. to make "camping" realistic. NOTE: There are lots of very small pieces. This would not be good if there are babies that could have access to this.This started us down the Calico Critters collections...

My mom got this set for my 5yr old daughter for her birthday. It's awesome, goes with her gobbs of other critters and sets she has. Perfect for 4 and 5 year olds. Easy to loose the extremely small pieces tho. All the critters are very well built and can be manipulated. Have a velvet fur texture. Nice to have old school style toys.

Literally the only Calico Critter product that I have anything bad to say about. They had access to it for 2 days and it’s broken. All of our other Critter toys are in great shape, this one has very small plastic attachments and they just didn’t hold up! I’ve tried super glue twice now, but the way that it broke that’s not even holding up. I’m still working on fixing it because it’s ADORABLE and well thought out, just isn’t durable!

Bought this for my 4 yr olds birthday. She loves this series. Only warning is for families with animals or other younger kids. This play series is full of little pieces that would be a choking hazard for toddlers and infants. I am happy that the small pieces are rubbery/flexible. When I was a kid, they were plastic and when bent would break. These are nice and flexible.

My daughter broke the tent frame within a week of getting it. I understand the toy is little and the frame can't be made more sturdy but you would expect more of a toy made for children. We tried to fix it but there was no way.

Will be a Christmas gift
