Still not sure how to use all the features. The online/download manual didn't work right. It was junk and still does not work. Think it is probably a good product but have not figured out how to use it yet. Still trying and believing it will work right. Phone support was fair but left me with the same unanswered questions and a little more knowledge. Needs a better manual for operations and functions. Yes there is a learning curve I believe to make it operate as advertised. If your a geek on this kind of stuff your probably fine but if your old school and need a real concise written manual may not be for you. I will struggle through and figure it out eventually as I dont want to invest more money that I don't have to try to find something else that is easier to use and understand. Seems good but I guess time will tell if I can figure out the operations with the lack of a well written instruction/operators manual. To be honest I feel a 10x loupe is a lot cheaper and a far better bet for gemstones. Product seems good Information on use horrible.
