A: I’m not really sure what you mean by “is this a fake blender” but no, this is a real blender. It’s inside the special container to reduce the noise. This is the kind they use at the juice/smoothie places.

I've bought several of the blendtec blenders. The 1st button doesn't work. Which leads me to believe this isn't new, possibly refurbished.I should've used it earlier since it only had a 30 day return. Disappointed with the product considering the price.
