It is remarkably sturdy for a design that isn't a metal spike with a pen inside. Except for the "glass breaking tip", it looks like a normal, high end pen. I gave this one to a co-worker at Christmas, and offered her a choice between this pen and a black and gold Waterman. She picked this because it was "prettier." Fit and finish are excellent, much better than you get from most tactical pens, and this is to be expected for the price. That said, the price is fair, the pen is very, very nice.My only complaint is that this pen is smaller than other tactical pens I've owned. It is shorter than I would like by about half an inch. However it is very lightweight and comfortable to write with, so the smaller size seems directly proportional to ease of use and comfort. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit too expensive for what you get *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2017* Nice tactical pen but seems a bit pricey for what you get. It is surprisingly lightweight due to the carbon fiber barrel but seems to be very strong and rigid. The threads on the writing end can be noticeable depending on how you hold the pen when writing but they are very coarse pitch thread and the cap only requires about a turn and a quarter to fully unscrew and about a half turn to fix it to the other end for storage while writing. A silicone o-ring on the pen secures the cap and seals it when it is replaced over the writing point. There are some flaws in the carbon fiber layup, given the price of the pen this really isn't acceptable. The clip is strong and stiff and there are some cosmetic flaws which again, are unacceptable for the price. The clip does not touch the body, it leaves a small gap. This might cause it to not clip tightly to thin fabrics. The overall length of the pen closed is about 4 15/16" end to end, a little short maybe for tactical use depending on the size of your hands. The replaceable tip is a nice feature but screwing in flush can be a bit troublesome since it is small, round, and has nothing to grip. There is a small rubber o-ring that also serves to retain the tip, this keeps it from working its way loose but also makes it more difficult to tighten securely. I found if I wrapped a thin piece of leather around it you can gain a bit of leverage to tighten it, you could even grasp it gently with a small pair of pliers. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pen is good & well constructed apart from the cover *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2018* Pen is good & well constructed apart from the cover. The cover thread is too loose & there are too few threads.
