But I'm not hard and fast on any specific beliefs on the topic, figuring that we're not meant to know the day and time, so why bother? But this book gives a lot of good info without trying to pin down an exact time.As the author says:"There is no attempt to exactly time the Rapture or the return of the Lord in this book as some prophecy experts are still wont to do."He has written Apocalypse 2027 to inform people so that they are aware of what to look for and what to expect. He believes that he knows approximate timing, but doesn't try for exact. Which makes me respect him more.Some of his predictions have to do with certain political things happening, such as Trump being reelected, which isn't out of the realm of possibility, and so could go a different way. But as far as his beliefs taken from Biblical and historical views, they seem well researched and solidly based. He even gives reason that the Antichrist won't be Islamic, and they aren't a threat.At the beginning, the author says that it's ok to skip the political bits of the book and read the rest, but I would say to read it all. Instead of a typical Doom and Gloom end times book, this has been written to give hope and to help people understand. He doesn't get into the pre-trib, post-trib, etc that usually bogs these books down, but suggests that we expect the worst and hope for the best.While, of course taken from a Christian POV, the book is actually quite respectful of Islam, even including sections of the Quran and hadiths in comparisons between in and the Bible.A lot of the author's interpretation of Biblical prophecy stands on taking the prophecies literally. What if the prophecies aren't some allegorical thing, but rather prophecies that the prophets didn't understand at all because they were meant to be understood today? He walks you through his reasoning for that, and it makes sense. He uses a lot of full Biblical passages, instead of a few words here and there to back up his point, and takes from all over the Bible, not just Revelation. And the verses are in the NASB version, making them easy to read.Is this book the end all be all on end times literature? I haven't the foggiest. This is a topic on which I've read and heard quite a lot, but I'm not an expert. He does seem very knowledgeable, both in the Bible and in current events (another thing, this book is current, you're reading about real situations now, not things happening 50 years ago). He doesn't try to twist the Bible to fit his agenda, and he is very open on how he came to the conclusions he reached.If you're at all curious about this topic, I would say to give this book a go. Honestly, I was a little skeptical of reading this at the beginning. The book’s description made it sound a bit fanatical and like something from one of those wildly melodramatic conspiracy theorists. But then again, I’ve always been rather skeptical of predictions, especially end-times ones, because let’s face it, time hasn’t ended yet. I’ve also never really spent much time reading the book of Revelation either though, so I thought it might be worth a read to see what author Jensen had to say about the topic.Jensen begins the book by setting the scene for us politically. He outlines how he thinks the Antichrist will come into power, as well as when. His political opinions are rather hard to stomach, and I found his assumption that all real Christians agree with him particularly offensive. That being said, I tried to leave personal differences aside and keep an open mind when reading this. Jensen clearly has a broad knowledge of current events and world powers, and the road map he proposes for how World War 3 will occur seems not only plausible, but rather believable. Not so sure though that I agree with his timeline, as he suggests the war will begin rather shortly in 2020 or 2021.I did appreciate the amount of cross-referencing done between the prophesies from Daniel and those from Revelation, which were written some 500 years apart. It was fascinating to see just how near identical many of them were. All in all, if you can get past Jensen’s zealous support of the current administration, Apocalypse 2027 is an interesting take on exactly how the end times and rise of the Antichrist may come about in the near future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great 📚 read *by J***Z on February 22, 2025* Fascinating.
