Used quite a few parts for this upgrade, so this review will contain all of those parts. Details: The battery is a side terminal, so the first thing I needed were adapters. Next I used the WIndyNation terminal adapters. Used some high amperage Anderson Power Pole (APP) quick disconnect connectors. Lastly, I added a 12V battery monitor so that I could monitor the voltage of the battery during power outage testing. A: BAF-1 is made of lead

**Q: Is this just intended for charging or can it be used for side terminal to post conversion?**
A: Probably, but I do not think that they are marketed as such. I just checked them and both posts have the slight taper you would expect on battery terminals . The positive post is fractionally larger than negative(18/19mm compared with 17/18mm) Not sure why one would go down that road and not just buy a battery that fits the terminals on the vehicle. Worth a try as cost is not high.
