It's the perfect size / height and looks much nicer than in the Amazon photograph. An extra long allen key is provided to fix the legs on - all done in a jiffy. The chenille fabric is of the type usually seen in throws which you may be tempted to buy, but then don't because you know your dog's nails will have it in shreds by the end of the week. I mention this because - as well as intending to use this as a foot stool - I bought it so that my dog could jump up onto / down from the bed in two steps now that she's getting older. Not with this lovely fabric though - it'll likely end up covered with a paw-print blanket for much of the time.As for Queen Anne I hadn't known who she was, my history of Q's + K's being somewhat sketchy. So, for those interested, she came to the throne on what would later be known as International Women's Day (that's tomorrow!) and despite reigning during such a male dominated era she attended more cabinet meetings than any of her predecessors or successors, and presided over an age of artistic, literary, economic and political advancement that was made possible by the stability and prosperity of her reign (Wikipedia wouldn't lie to me even if everyone else does).Fortunately this isn't a George III stool or there'd be all manner of busybodies having a prod and a poke at it to ensure its future distressed finish. I ordered in blue, and found that the colour was not quite the same as in the picture, it has an almost velvety sheen. Also, it is delivered flatpacked, which seemed pointless since the box it arrived in was big enough to hold the whole footstool with room to spare! Whilst it was straight forward to put together, the screws were tight-fitting and I could not get one to screw in for love nor money, however it seems stable without.All in all an average purchase, but I liked the fact you could order the larger size and it was certainly cheaper than other options. It did meet expectations. The only minus point I would give is that the legs screwed into the footstool OK but there was four screw holes, presumably to give more stability to the footstool but no screws were provided. As this is a present for an elderly relative we purchased some screws ourselves giving peace of mind that it is totally secure.
