It also looks pretty. I say this might not be called a true quilt for the fact that the only real stiching is on the edge. The pattern is actually melted together the layers of fabric. I don't know how the durability for this is going to be when it comes to washing and drying. That is a BIG issue with the dog running and jumping on it... it doesn't slide so a little pull and it's back in place. We bought the full/queen for the sofa thinking we could put all the extra at the back and just let it hang, but it was just a little too much.
