But I had so much trouble unlocking the pump mechanism that I finally gave up and used the gel directly from the bottle. I was determined to get it unlocked so it was ready for the next time so I tried again after I was finished drying my hair. It took an insane amount of effort to get the pump top to unlock and spring up.
