Some brands/formulations of meclizine are made as "fast melts" and dissolve so rapidly in saliva that it's nearly impossible to hold them under your tongue long enough to get sublingual administration. (I've noticed this with the CVS store brand meclizine tablets when I've had to pick some up in a pinch until my supply could arrive from desertcart.) The Rugby brand tablets have just the right combination of inactive ingredients so that they dissolve well under the tongue, but slowly enough so that the medicine can sink in, if that makes sense. When I take this medicine (sublingually), I tend to feel relief in less than 3 minutes! It's very fast and very effective. I am on other antiemetics at the same time, but those are taken round-the-clock on a schedule so it shouldn't effect my perception of the meclizine. I also wanted to say that, at least for me personally, these are more effective than the prescription scopolamine patches.
