## Description

Dwarf Red Robin Tomato Seeds (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) Red Robin is a wonderful super-dwarf determinate cherry tomato that can be grown in a hanging container or pot indoors or outdoors. Red Robin tomato seeds produce dwarf early plants (in 55-60 days), 9 -12 inches tall that yield tight, abundant bunches of 1 1/4 inch red, cherry tomatoes that are sweet with just enough tartness to perfectly support its delicious flavors. A great snacking tomato. Similar to Tiny Tim tomato. 55-60 days. HOW TO GROW Once a few true leaves have developed, seedlings should be slowly moved outside (if sprouted indoors) to ambient light. Care should be taken not to expose seedlings to direct, scorching sun so plants may need to be hardened off via slow sun exposure. Hardening off can be done using a shaded or filtered light location, as well as protection from strong winds, rain or low humidity. Hardening off time varies, but can take 5-10 days. SOIL Temperature for Germination: 70F Plant Spacing: 12-16 in. Hardiness: Zones 4-10. Sun Requirement: Full Sun. Days to Germination: 7-14 days under optimal conditions. Germination Rate: 95% HAPPY GARDENING!

Review: They grow! - Full disclosure, I really suck at plants and have killed quite a few through over watering. But I am trying, still. I added 3 seeds each to 4 different pots at first. Two pots had completely organic soil that was marketed for tomoto plants and the like. Two pots had soil from my outside garden (mostly just top soil from lowes). For the first week...nothing. I added a few more seeds to each pot (and brushed off some of the top of a pot with organic soil into a pot with top soil to make a mix). This morning (a few days over a week) I see one little tomoto head pop out of a pot with a mix. I think I may have over watered some of the other pots...but I still have seeds left to try again. My point is...I suck at plants and yet still had at least one start to grow in a pot that is mainly just dirt from outside. So I am satisfied. I did use grow lights so I would definitely reccomend that. And I have been diligent about keeping it warm for them...even when our HVAC broke I immediately bought a heater...as it is winter (north florida winter but still gets down to the 20s). I am happy with this purchase and if someone as terrible with plants as I am can make at least one grow, it has to be likely for anyone. Edit: by week two, three little seeds have already sprouted. I think they are just sprouting slower, maybe due to the temperature being colder.
Review: Easy to grow - Here are the steps i went through. 1) Mixed organic non fertilized indoor potting soil with organic fertilized indoor pot soil. This helps the seedlings avoid fertilizer burn early on. 2) Once third set of leaves sprout, I fertilize the ground with pellet fertilizer. 3) I provide adequate lighting. I use cheap SP150's from Mars Hydro. I am a few weeks in to my grow and all plants are starting flowering stage. All leaves look perfectly healthy. My light is on the more powerful side at the height I have it so it keeps the plants are compressed and very low to the ground. You can stretch them more if you like by providing less light. The idea of compressing is that the plants will not need support. 100% perfect growth and germination. These are good seeds. Be sure to provide adequate soil for the seeds and increase fertilizer as roots get larger and more established. This is for small pots. EDIT: Added 2 more photos 5-6 weeks in. Perfect growth. The two pots shown have over 200 tomatoes nearing red stage and is producing more flowers. Very happy with the perfect experience here. Theses are a bit bigger than I expected. I would use a larger pot than pictured on the product page. EDIT2: Added photos of first ripe picks. harvesting 10-15 tomatoes a day now. Perfect staggered ripening. This will be the last edit. Ignore the bad reviews. Not everyone knows how to grow plants.

## Features

- US Grown Super Productive and Tasty Tomato, Easy to Grow in Container Year Round
- Keep moist, not letting the seeds dry out between watering. **SOIL Temperature for Germination: 70-75F. Planting Depth: 1/4". Sprout tomato seeds in small containers, preferably 4" or smaller. In-ground germination is not recommended. Use a standard potting mix that is well drained.
- Start seeds in containers approximately 8 weeks prior to the planned set-out date. Plants should ultimately be transplanted to the garden 1-2 weeks after the expected date of last frost. Soil should be kept consistently warm, from 70-85F. Cool soils, below about 60-65F, even just at night, will significantly delay or inhibit germination. Additionally, overly warm soils, well above 90F, can inhibit germination and provide ideal conditions for seed rot.
- Over watering can cause fungal growth which leads to seed rot. Excess water can also bury seeds deep in the soil where they will not be able break the surface. Water when the soil surface just begins to dry.
- Multiple seeds can be planted in a single starter container, but should be thinned once seedlings appear so only a single plant remains. Seeds do not require light for germination but some light source should be provided for seedlings once they emerge from the soil.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can these be grown hydroponically?**
A: Yes, no reason why not.

**Q: If i were to grow these in a container, what size would be best? 2, 3 or 5 gallon?**
A: I have grown these in both 2 and 3 gallon containers. The 3 gallon work a little better. I use 2-3 stakes to hold them straight. They are nice producers. I usually get a number of tomatoes, then a long quiet period, followed by another bunch of tomatoes.

**Q: How do I pollinate these plants?**
A: I didn’t have any success with these seeds.

**Q: Are these determinate or indeterminate tomatoes?**
A: They are indeterminate. 6 months and both of my plants that I grew are well over 6 foot tall. Constantly picking suckers off. And, the tomatoes are the sweetest ones I've ever had!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tough Micro-Sized Cherry Tomato Plant
*by C***S on August 26, 2025*

I have been very impressed with these plants. The out of 12 seeds planted, 7 germinated (about 60% germination), which is pretty normal for me as a new gardener. The tallest one I have has stalled out at 14 inches tall. They look like they are going to be completely covered with little cherry tomatoes. The tallest one could probably use some support, but is stalky enough to hold itself up fairly well. The plants are fairly robust. I have one inside and the rest outside in pots and both are doing surprisingly well. The indoor plant only gets about 4 hours of direct sunlight a day (at best) and it is thriving. The weather has averaged a high temperature of 105 F or more for most of these tomatoes' lives, and they have still grown really well. They also seem pretty drought tolerant. I have had times when I missed my regular watering and all the potted plants around these tomatoes are visibly stressed or even dying, and these still seem to be as happy as can be with no signs of stress. I definitely recommend this micro tomato variety and the vendor seems to be reputable.
