Another way as described by the instructions is to collapse the handle then placing one foot on the base close together. There can be some resistance or feeling quite stiff. Be a little careful if fully loaded on uneven ground . It comfortably carried my vintage singer sewing machine around from the front of the house round the side of the street to the back of the house where the studio is. (I have too many steps to go out the back way). Easy to put up, little bit more fiddly to collapse down until you get the knack. Comes with storage bag which makes it easy to put away. The handle feels a little bit flimsy and I’m not sure how much heavier stuff it would cope with but the sewing machine is quite heavy.
