Tips for iPhones: attach the phone mount first, turn your camera on and get the hole to line up without blocking the view first. tighten it as much as you can, then attach the scope. with the camera on and in a well lit area, zoom in on the hole in you camera screen. use the scope focus to set it how you want. you'll have to play around with it if your not familiar with scopes. once you get it focused on something press and hold on your screens to lock the focus. it helps. So far I have purchase tripod (travel type) to take on a cruise for table top when sitting in the viewing lounges. My sole purpose for buying this type is for whale watching as well as when doing cross Atlantic viewing to see what I can on those days at sea. From looking birds and other things that are viewable in city environments I see that this unit will work out just fine.
