(I attribite that to being old and weak). I just got this devise today and it got me motivated to do a water line project I have been putting off. I tried out the new devise and found out that I was still old and weak so I used a C-clamp to squeese the jaws together. Tha worked OK but as you would guess it was awarkward. After I finished the project I had the, "Why didn't I think about this earlier moment." I drilled a couple of holes in the devise and tapped one hole to accept a 5/16 bolt. Works great. I'll get a wing nut for it the next time I'm at Home Depot but it works well even for being old and weak.

I have been using the shark connectors for awhile. I really like the connectors but have had terrible results using the C clip. (I attribite that to being old and weak). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than C shaped tools

I like this better than the orange C shaped release tool. It's easier to use, easier to get into smaller, thigher space. It just works better, sometimes with the C shaped tool, I can compress the sharkbite with enough force to release, especially sharkbite brand quick connects which tends to fit much tigher. It's also going to last longer and you're less likely to lose it. Only thing I don't like is that the spring force in unnecessarily strong. You need almost 10 lbs of grip force just to close the grip before even having it on a fitting.
