Many were too bulky and lacked dexterity. While thicker gloves offer more protection from heat I found myself taking them off when I had assemble nuts and bolts or using tools. But these gloves have just the right thickness that you never need to take them off. The rubber coating is perfect for grip. If I could only use one glove forever this would be it.
