However, it is comfortable, seems well-made and completes our small den/media room. Wish it wasn't made in China, but it is what it is. The Charleston Burgundy we received is a tad darker than pictured, more of a dark cordovan. But that's fine - better a bit more brownish than more reddish. Assembly was straightforward: 4 legs screw on and then the back (it arrived in two sections) snaps down into place over metal struts on either side. The back lower skirting is held down by a Velcro strip. I'd likely give it 5 stars but for the fact that one of the wood feet is has a crack that might/might not get worse with age. I was able to turn that cracked side so it doesn't show but still. The material does seem to be leather. It reclines to a comfortable position for the legs/feet and backside/back, which is what matter as much as the looks of any chair. Delivery was quick, but they dumped the box on our driveway at a garage door that's at street level where anyone could walk up and take it. It would've been better to simply ring the doorbell. It's not as if it was all that heavy or I expected them to carry it inside. The box had been banged around pretty well and split on two sides, but everything inside was okay and all parts were there. ### ⭐ Quite disappointed updated photos still disgusted *by J*** on Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2018* We bought two of these chairs in burgundy September 2017. We received the chairs in timely manner. They were easy to assemble. However, we received one burgundy and one black chair. We decided it would not be worth the hassle or wait to replace the chair with another burgundy one and it wasn't such a clash with any of our other furniture. So we kept the black chair. One year later the black chair "leather" upholstery is separating at the head and legs. This chair is described as "high-quality top-grain leather." I sincerely don't think that is true. I feel ripped off now because I paid $609.07 for each chair (total $1,218.14). The burgundy chair is fine; no upholstery separation. I'm wondering if they sent this faulty chair just to fill the order. We honestly thought it was the same chair. The last three photos show the chair two years later and the real leather chair that’s still beautiful. ### ⭐⭐ Chair has drawbacks, but is nice chair. *by L***M on Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2017* Nice chair. Delivery was great. Came earlier than expected. However, I do not consider the color to be burgundy. It is more like chocolate brown. My room theme is Americana so chocolate brown does not exactly match. The chair sits up high which has positives and negatives. You certainly do not sink into it. It is more firm than that. BUT now I can see the TV over the back of the couch. It also does not recliner as far as my feet being elevated. They are more like level. Harder to sleep. The back is not that high either. I am fairly short (5'2") but my head is all the way to the top.
