It's a cool idea - most vases don't light up in 16 colors and auto-change colors if you choose, and you can't put flowers in most lamps! Since it's waterproof at the top, you can put water and fresh flowers in. You can use dried or artificial flowers. You can do a lot more - - - such as put pens and pencils in there and use it as a desk lamp. Your kids can take it in a tent and camp out with it - no fire hazard as it's cordless - rechargeable lithium battery inside. You can also do themed things for events - I put the top of a pineapple in mine, and then set the light to yellow, now it's a pineapple on the dinner table, served grilled pineapple to my family! Remote control it to the color / mood you are in. USB charging cable included. By the way, they say it lights up for up to 12 hours, but if you dim it all the way down - mine lasted for almost 2 days of use on one charge!
