The case did keep my phone dry until maybe the fourth hour-ish. I noticed water inside the case towards the bottom corner. I wasn't to concerned, as my phone is water resistant. Overall, when in the pool or swimming in the Sea, it worked great! Picture & video quality was excellent under water. Only problem was when I tried to take pictures while the screen was wet or my fingers were wet, I had a difficult time using my phone and out of the water-the pictures were blurry. I had To either wait for the camera area dry off or take the phone completely and it of the case. Which brings me to trying to get the phone out of the case was a chore. I am glad the case is sealed tight... it was just a pain to remove the phone from the case.When using your phone & the case is wet was also a pain. I had problems trying to use any options on my phone. My phone wouldn’t register what my fingers were trying to do. I had To wait until my hand were dry in order to use the screen on my phone.Overall-the case does keep your phone dry. Long periods of water time-Just keep watching to make sure no leaks. He has even put it under water to take pictures of fish. It seals tight as along as you make sure to walk your fingers all the way around the seal to make sure it is all closed up. This is a great case :-). Ok so this case was better than I expected. For me I just wanted a case more so that would keep water off the phone while in the water for long periods of time while swimming or jet skiing (30+ mins). The case did that and kept water out successfully. The pictures posted were inside the case for the iPhone XMAX in portrait mode no edit at all. I didn’t get to test it underwater recording/picture yet. Case size is on the large size (great ergonomics) but I’m a male with large hands so that didn’t bother me much. I left my screen protector on my phone screen before placing it into the case and it worked just fine.
