This is a dual action product (anti-aging & acne). If you are looking for just an acne product our Benzoyl Peroxide Lotion 5% or 10% delievers results. The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide and retinol. I thought this combination cancels each other out?** A: No. Retinol helps diminish wrinkles. Benzoyl peroxide helps with acne. It can be drying to skin initially. I would recommend starting every other day. **Q: Is the date on bottom the date the lot was produced or the expiration date? I do not see exp listed on there.** A: On the bottom of mine it says 3/24 so I’m pretty sure that it is the expiration date. I am 56 years old and have experienced hormone/stress related acne since I was about 13 years old. I have used many, many products including benzoyl peroxide soap, proactive, retin A, Acutane, sulfur, borax, etc. Never have I been acne free for more than a day. I found I was extremely sensitive to the OTC benzoyl peroxide products and they made my skin breakouts worse!!! That is until today or rather the last few weeks.
