But no bfd, since I bought it for short excursions in warm/hot temps with minimal gear and it fits that bill perfectly. Plenty of ventilation and carries a modest load just fine. Like other Alps/Alpz products, design, materials, and workmanship are outstanding for the price point.This pack fit me waaay better than comparable (and much more expensive) models by Badlands and others. I'm 5-11, 165# with average length torso. YMMV.My only (minor) gripes are: 1) waist belt is not well suited for a clip-on handgun holster -- too flimsy and far back at attachment point (needs reinforcement) and 2) waist belt and shoulder straps are "plus-sized" so may not fit skinny folk.A great product overall, recommend w/o hesitation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars This bag is great. *by B***1 on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2019* I like every feature of this backpack. I'm 6'3" it fits like great. I have only minor complaints. The bags water resistants isn't great so use the rain fly in rain. The rain fly does not cover your attached weapon and you can't attach the weapon with the rain fly on the bag. Next is the chest strap slide. If you're the type that doesn't use a chest strap the slide bar isn't sewn in all the way down the main strap and will dig into your shoulder a bit. Last is I wanted to attach some stuff to the waist belt behind the small pouches. However in order to put something there I.e. side weapon, knife, GPS and make it so that they are one hand retrievable I needed to reenforce the strap with plastic and Paracord. I finally made the decision to purchase this pack after comparing A LOT of other options before my Colorado elk hunt. I wanted something lightweight, comfortable, durable, and useful - this fulfills all of these criteria without question. The pack is light enough that I hardly notice it when empty, which means I can put all my gear in it and not be weighed down. It is comfortable enough that even when loaded down I can wear it all day and walk miles and miles up and down a muddy mountain without thinking twice about what's on my back. It is very durable, made of heavy duty fabric, has heavy duty zippers, and stitched together very well - I expect it to last a lifetime. Lastly, it is extremely useful - I especially like the sling pack for holding my calls and other things I need quick access to, the built in rain cover, and the rifle/bow mounts on the back.
