Review: Wow! - I was gluing a new panel on the rear hatch of my Ford Explorer. I read a lot of the reviews and it was difficult to tell whether this would work well with my application. This piece was about 6 inches tall by 4 feet wide and the back was plastic and so I was unsure if the glue would adhere to it. I did sand the surfaces that I would be using the glue on, and the only issue I have with this glue is that there are two versions. One sets up in 20 minutes which was way too short, and the other is this version which takes 4 to 6 hours. And you really need to let it sit for 24 hours. But I will say that once it was all said and done this panel was now part of the car. It’s solid and I don’t think it will ever come off again. I mean it’s like there is no difference between this plastic panel and my car where it’s attached. It’s welded. I did tape the entire area and clamp it. I left it for 24 hours. I’ve been using the rear hatch for a month now. No issues. So obviously the key is to keep it tight and stable till it’s fully cured. So I’d say this was well worth the price.
Review: This really Bonds - I've been using 3m SEM panel bond for about 10 yrs now. In autobody applications I almost prefer it to welding. Extremely strong bonding adhesive. I did an experiment by allowing the product to harden on 2 pieces of joined metal. One caveat is any close by heat generated by my mig welder softened the adhesive so in my opinion either bond your autobody repairs or weld them. Don't mix the processes in any single area of repair. Excellent product.

**Q: I need this for a 17 foot project. Will this be enough?**
A: doesn't go far ... I used 2 tubes on a mustang in probably a 15ft span by 2 inches wide ... holds strong as welding but pricey !

**Q: When using it for body pieces, do you leave the primer on or use it on bare metal?**
A: The directions specifically state to use a 50 grit sanding disc to prep the surface to bare metal. You cover all bare metal with the adhesive so you get no surface rust.

**Q: Does this include any mixing nozzles?**
A: Yes, they came with two mixing nozzles.

**Q: What does smc compatible mean?**
A: SMC stands for Sheet Moulding Compound.  It's a composite of reinforcing fibers (typically fiberglass or carbon fiber) and a polyester resin that's used in a variety of products, including automotive applications.  SMC compatible means that this adhesives is capable of successfully bonding to SMC.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, needs special caulking gun

It is hard to use if you don’t have the special caulking gun. I managed to get the panels to adhere by mixing the two compounds together and spreading it with a putty knife and it got the job done.
