## Description

It is no longer a surprise that bamboo is becoming more and more popular for home owners and their various landscaping projects, as well as for their indoor décor. However, what may be still surprising for those of you who don’t know too much about this plant, is the number of species that exist. For now, we’ll introduce you the Multiplex Hedge Bamboo, which is one of the fastest growing and most reliable clumping bamboo species that we have. Delivering a tropical feel and easy growth that’s non-invasive, the Multiplex Bamboo Plant is a cold hardy, sub-tropical variety that will provide you with a unique screen in no time. In fact, it thrives all the way down to 10 degrees, so its lush growth stands up to tough conditions with ease. Nicknamed the Hedge Bamboo or Clumping Bamboo, Multiplex is a fast grower that forms into a dense living wall. But it’s so versatile that you can grow it as an exotic privacy fence or plant it in a container on your patio. Its dense, clumping growth makes it well-suited to hedging along borders, driveways, and beyond. And unlike many other bamboo varieties, it’s non-invasive. No matter where it grows, the yellowish-green Multiplex is perfect for creating a secluded, island-inspired retreat. You can keep it at your desired height easily by pruning just once yearly, meaning you won’t have to continuously trim your Multiplex to get the look you want. And since it’s drought-tolerant, the rain takes care of the watering for you. Multiplex Hedge Bamboo, like most bamboo, loves water. However, bamboo is not a plant that enjoys ‘wet feet’. Being located in standing water or permanently boggy soil can quickly lead to root rot and the death of your bamboo. When choosing a location for your bamboo, it is important to choose and area that receives plenty of water, yet is not subject to standing water. It is also important to ensure that your soil provides plenty of drainage. No shipments to ARIZONA OR HAWAII.

Review: SUPER HAPPY!! - Our neighbors decided to “clear out” our natural overgrowth between our homes. So, we decided on the quick growing bamboo to get back our privacy. Here are pics of how they arrived and I was a little disappointed but they seemed healthy and we planted. The latest pic is approximately 10 months after being planted. We’re hoping by next spring/summer they will be over the fence. Would highly recommend if a living privacy fence in a small area is what you’re looking for.
Review: The plants did not survive a mild winter - I bought these plants (Over $192) because they were rated to thrive in my zone. They came in small but grew decently until winter. Then by the end of winter they were dead. A very mild winter in zone 7. I tried to contact the company and requested a refund. They do not stand behind their products. It was outside the return date. This really isn't an excuse because the damage was done because they probably sent me the wrong plants or they describe it incorrectly. There was no way of knowing the plants were the wrong ones for my zone until after the winter. You are suppose to put these in way before winter so they can acclimatize so its impossible to return these plants inside the proper time frame. Do not do business with this company. They do not stand behind their plants. ZERO STARs but not possible!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great looking plant.
*by D***C on April 1, 2021*

May 1, 2021 The 1st plant has been in for a month and has grown an inch but is filling out nicely. The 2nd plant has been in for 2 weeks and has grown 2 inches. This one arrived 36" tall with 5 stems and with the same great packing that the first one had. We have been getting 3 - 4 fay delivery but that may be related to our location. Both plants are looking healthy and I am seeing new base shoots on both of them. Overall no complaints. April 1, 2012 Bought 1 as a trial planting. Arrived as a surprise 2 weeks earlier than Amazon's estimate. Came in a sturdy cardboard box with the wrapped root ball securely tied to the inside of the box with string and packing tape. Each individual stem has its own paper wrapper. The surrounding potting soil was covered with water storing gel and the whole ball then wrapped in paper and sealing tape. Do not try to pull the tape off. Just cut top to bottom thru the wrapping. 4 healthy looking 1/4" stems all with leaves. The tallest at 33". A nice set of planting and growing instructions. Check back in a couple of months. I think I should be ordering more.
