    Hex Hubs work great when installed correctly.

I used the hex hub adapters for my Sakura Advance S touring car using VTA style wheels.  Out of the package they did not fit my axles.  To make them fit I removed the screw from hex, installed the hex hub adapter then squeezed/pinched hex on axle slightly.  I then screwed the bolt back in making it tight.  These hex adapters have a cut in metal so they pinch to tighten. The hex adapters  support a lot of applications, you may need to squeeze/pinch the nut a little or you may need to widen it to fit your setup.  These are good adapters for the price and I will continue to buy more of these when I need them.

WILL NOT CLAMP. The head of the cheap allen screw that comes with these will strip out long before you manage to get them tight enough to clamp down on your axle. They are accurate on the thickness though so if that's what is most important to you, they're fine.
