The quality of the finish and major components is better than lights that cost twice as much. Also, if you need to mount off-center of the electrical box like we had to in order to center it with a table or island, this is the light for you. That's both good and bad because what makes this fixture so versatile is the minimal base mounting plate that mounts to the ceiling. If you need to center in an area and/or keep parallel to a wall, plan on spending a lot of time measuring. Also, the mounting screws and drywall plugs that come with the kit are inferior at best. Go to your local hardware store and buy drywall toggle bolts. I used some rated at 150lbs that I had in my hardware drawer. All you will need are two and they will provide peace of mind. Also, I'm not sure what all of the wiring connectors that came with the fixture were supposed to do, but you are better off just using simple wire nuts. I did not trim the pendant cords, there is plenty of room in the base to accommodate the excess neatly. If the manufacturer had made the mounting plate an inch longer, some installations could benefit from utilizing ceiling rafters on 16" centers. It would have saved me some time and the use of wall anchors for mounting. Total time of installation for me was about three hours and I'm pretty good at this kind of thing. If this is your first light install, you may want to punt to an electrician and take on an easier project as your first. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful fixture, good quality, tough install *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2018* Bottomline - good quality, difficult install but very worth it.The good - It's beautiful and well made, considering the price. The string length is easy to adjust, and each light had an individual on off switch you can use in addition to whatever wall switch you use. At this price its an easy purchase decision, and a good value.The bad - I had my electrician handle this one, and he said it was the hardest fixture he's ever put in. He had a tough time finding the right box to install in the ceiling. In the end up used a round black one but the box was wider than the fixture top, and he had to trim the ceiling electrical box so it wouldnt be visibleTip - It's possible to find 5000K Edison bulbs that are LED but be aware the LED light bars are designed to throw the light outward, not downward, so they're not a great bulb choice for downward task lighting.Tip2 - I installed a dimmer because the clear glass doesn't diffuse the light and it can be a bit blinding at full brightness. It's a trade off because the clear glass is great to display the Edison style bulbs.Verdict - great light, great value, needs patience and finesse to ibstall ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a quick swap. *by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020* The light is beautiful and feels well-made. The install, though, was pretty awful. My boyfriend started, thinking it would be a quick swap, but it turned into close to an hour and a lot of choice words. The wiring was not hard, and the directions were fine to follow, but the narrow mounting plate and bracket bolts made for a challenge. The end result has a slight gap in the back (my ceiling is a little slanted, but the wide bracket mount on the original light held it flush against the ceiling). Plus, there is an overwhelming amount of wire that has to be tucked inside the base- there is room, but it’s just a lot. If you like it in the pictures, you’ll like it in real life, but hang it when both parties have their most patience.
