## Description

The Honey Tone Mini Practice Amp sounds as sweet as it looks! The difinitive small portable amp offers a great clean, or overdriven sound at a great price for guitar pakcages. Louder than most mini-amps with features of a full size combo!

Review: Great budget mini amp. - Love this little amp and I would buy another one. It's a great mini practice amp, it has a head phone jack and a sturdy belt clip which I find to be handy. Not very heavy yet seems to be sturdy enough. It gets surprisingly loud and sounds better than I expected. Choice of power from DC 9V cable or a 9V battery. The vintage look is a bonus. At the price I found here on desertcart, I couldn't pass it up and I am glad I didn't. I think guitarist of any skill level could enjoy this practical mini amp for a fair price.
Review: Totally worth it! - I'm starting college this fall and I've decided to bring my electric guitar instead of my acoustic to save space. However, that's all moot if I bring my 50 pound, 100 watt amp. I have a little 40 watt Marshall amp that's only about 1'x1', but the sound is so bad that I'd rather just play unplugged. So I was looking for a quality, ultra-portable amp, and I got exactly that in the Danelectro Honeytone! Most other mini-amps cost $40-$50, and I'm a cheap college student, so I figured that there things always a bit of a gamble and I'd rather only bet $20. I figured worst-case scenario the speakers would suck and I'd use just it with headphones. When I opened the box, I was a little skeptical because while it's very cute, it's mostly plastic. However, once I plugged it in and unwrapped the battery (which was included!), I was immediately impressed. With most smaller and cheaper amps (like my Marshall), you have to choose between muddy distortion or barely being able to hear anything, but this is was not the case. The clean is clear and warm and the drive is still articulate. The sound quality is easily comparable to my Fender, except it's not so crazy loud. But it's actually amazing to hear how much sound can come out of such a little amp! I might even be able to use it for a little street performing. And, It's so small it actually fits in my guitar case. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up overtime, especially since some reviews complained about defective products, but I'll update this review if anything inexplicably breaks or fails. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this little amp!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I've bought this black one to meet my expected delivery date(16 JAN 14). If aqua model is in stock and meet that date, could u ship aqua one instead?**
A: Sir, this is a Wendy's restaurant.

**Q: Does this work with an electric violin?**
A: Absolutely, if it's got a 1/4" jack and you got a cable, well, you'll have a fine time!

**Q: Does this have a battery outlet where you can change the battery**
A: It does not have outlet where you can change the battery. It has an outlet where you can plug in a power supply to take the place of the internal battery. I dont think you can recharge the battery thru this outlet. It takes a nine volt battery and it will last a long time.

**Q: Will this work with an electric bass?**
A: yeah, with any electric guitar as long as your "electrics" are up to snuff, meaning my 1960 Harmony Les Paul edition needed some wiring upgrades to sound excellent. I would, however look up the settings on DanElectro's website for the Bass settings.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ looks great, but got interference
*by K***K on June 22, 2025*

I would say it could be used just fine for practicing at home or outside, it mostly sounded good and gets louder than expected. I only needed it at about half the volume. I wanted to keep this amp because it looks so cute. But it got static from electronic devices. Even having my phone screen on nearby caused a decent amount of static. Adjusting the tone and gain all the way to lowest was the only way to impact the clarity. I returned it because I'm hoping for a cleaner sound in a portable amp.
