The blade life depends on the hardness of the grout. I have replaced about eleven 12" x 12" tiles and the blade is still like new. I do not push down on the tool and just let it do the work. I decided to try it anyway and it did an excellent job!In addition to the Grout Grabber, I used an oscillating tool with a diamond crusted blade to get at the grout close to vertical obstructions (baseboard, toilet, shower pan, etc.).Holding a shop vac (fitted with a HEPA filter bag) virtually eliminated any dust.
