Definitely thicker than some cheap brass screens from a local head shop. They are made of stainless steel, so they should not melt under the regular operating temperatures of a BIC lighter. Melting point of stainless is about 1400°C. That being said, no point in torching the bowl for more than a few seconds anyway.
