However, I've never even played hockey, so I'm not the best person to judge their performance in that arena. We purchased these to go under planters on our two new concrete patios. We were warned by the concrete company to avoid putting planters directly on the stamped and dyed concrete due to the moisture build-up that will ruin the finish on the patios. While the pucks have a strong odor once the box is opened, they'll be outside to gas off, so that won't be an issue. The price was right, as were the dimensions to use them as feet for underneath our large planters. Hopefully, they work great as pucks for hockey. That will be for other reviewers who actually play to decide.
