I think that the written music just above the tab manuscript is a great way for students to learn sheet music quickly. About half of the songs are not good enough for professional gigs, however. Shame that something called The Huge Book of Classical Guitar Solos doesn't have "The Harmonious Blacksmith", which is a very popular tune. Review: Broad selection, but questionable arrangements - The biggest disappointment is the false advertisement in the preview of the website where the "Arrangements by" includes a well-known & respected classical guitarist, teacher (USC), and author Scott Tennant, but his name is absent in my copy of the book (see photo). It was a selling point for me on the book's legitimacy concerning musical arrangements, especially to justify the price. Overall, a lot of selections, large and sharp print, finger suggestions, reference pages on notation & tablature, & the book can stay open on a chair (sometimes w/ binder clip). The book's dimensions are similar to a binder (12" tall, 9" wide, & 1" thick).
