Review: Laser VS. Shadow... Shadow the easy winner - This saw is AMAZING !!! I used a laser for a cut-line on my old saw... This uses a regular light and it's SHADOW is the cut line. it's WAY WAY Better and easier to see. ...my problem is that I forget to turn off the light after making a bunch of cuts. ...would be even better if the light would automatically come on while the blade is turning. This saw is also VERY ACCURITE and not too heavy

**Q: on dewalt's site it says this model is 3800rpm on here it says 3500rpm is this an older model?**
A: On the saw that I bought 2 months ago, it says 3800 rpm on the motor casing.

**Q: Is the only difference between the DW716 and DW716 with XPS, the LED?**
A: Dewalt 716 Type 20 will accept a light. You'll spend 75 on a handle, power supply, and led. MM Tool parts has the kit. The light is worth it.

**Q: Does anyone know a dewalt vacuum dust port adapter that would work with this dewalt dw716xps miter saw?  thanks**
A: Adapters DWV9120, DWV9130 or DWV9150 are compatible.

**Q: Can you put a metal cutting blade on it to cut steel tubing?**
A: Good question and I don't see any reason why not depending on the thickness of the tubing. I have a Dewalt chop saw I used to cut aluminum studs when I was refinishing my basement and it cut just fine with a metal cutting blade. It was a 10" vs 12" saw however. Motors and Amp rating was the same as my DW 716 Mite Saw.  May want to ping someone at DeWalt or search thier web site. May not be the right thing to do but you could ask someone at one of the Big Box Home Improvement stores as well.

This saw is AMAZING !!! I used a laser for a cut-line on my old saw... This uses a regular light and it's SHADOW is the cut line. it's WAY WAY Better and easier to see. ...my problem is that I forget to turn off the light after making a bunch of cuts. ...would be even better if the light would automatically come on while the blade is turning. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very good saw

I had hoped this saw would be as good as I heard it was. It is. Only needed one very small adjustment to the cutting blade perpendicular to the table surface. Easily done. The detent stops were dead on out-of-the-box. One thing I like about this saw is that when moved off one detent angle for another, when coming back to that previous angle the cut is exactly where it was before. I.e. the repeat angle cuts are perfect - as they should be. It's a very accurate and robust saw. Well worth the money paid it. 5-stars
