This worked great on a 1983 115hp Mercury and a 1995 75hp Mercury Lower unit to get the shift shaft and seal out.

Worked perfect for my older later 80's Mercury 60 2 stroke. Uses a 3/4 or 19mm. If you're going to use a ratchet make sure you have a deep well socket.
