I have a 2007 Salem travel trailer and the cd door on built in stereo wouldn't close. This latch fit perfectly in it . **Q: How do you get the old latch off the door?** A: For an RV fuse / breaker panel, I used a needle nose pliers, pulled the guts out of the old one, then crushed the housing (wide direction) from the same side you pulled the guts of it out, that will collapse it enough to get past the tabs that hold it in. All the while being careful not to damage the rest of the housing, there isnt much material that holds it in. I took it to the dealer to have it checked and their solution was to replace the radio. I decided to check with my nearby electronic parts center to see if the latches were sold separately. Of course, they didn’t have any but they mentioned that you could find them online. So, when I entered the radio make and model to my surprise Amazon was the 1st store that popped up. I ordered the 2 latches just to try, and hoping I could save some money while at it. After removing all the little screws that hold the radio backer, removing the original latches and installing the new ones was a breeze. Fingers crossed, When I closed the door it stayed closed. Whew, a sign of relief. After everything was set and done I save quite a bit of money and didn’t have to replace the radio.These items worked for me perfectly, but not sure if they fit every application. You may need to do some homework.
