With 4 steamers of this stuff attached to the swing I have not had a bird anywhere near. ### ⭐⭐⭐ OK *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2020* Seems to help, but after awhile the woodpeckers will peck holes within a foot or so of it so you need a lot and it may not deter them for long. You get a lot of it, but it does tear off in the wind and litter your property so it may be best to put up more shorter strips so it won't tear off too easily in the wind. ### ⭐ Didn't work for barn swallows *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2020* We put them up to test for a month this past spring. We were dealing with barn swallows that were very determined out on our deck. The birds would be curious for a day and stay away and then completely ignore them and build nest after nest. The deterant was louder than I expected and snapped and crackled quite vigorously. That's not a good thing or very neighborly in a condo complex. We took them down.
