The problem recently worsened when I developed varicose veins on the inside of my leg where the knee cap is, which was giving me knee pain every time I twisted or planted my right foot. I'd tried compression socks, horse chestnut pills to alleviate the problem to no avail, so I bought this after reading so many positive reviews. I'm pleased and also surprised to say that after 4 days of use I can already feel an improvement. The pain and throbbing has reduced and sleeping is much more comfortable. I've only used the machine for 4 days at setting 20 no more than twice per day, and although it claims you need to use at a min of setting 40 for 4-6 weeks I am already feeling an improvement and more confident. I've now become less conscience of my leg and overall it feels more comfortable. I actually enjoy the feeling of the muscles in my leg contracting when using it, it's a weird feeling but it's not painful and it actually feels like it's doing something. Eventually I will move up to setting 40 twice per day once my leg becomes more accustomed to the machine. It's really easy to use, it's all touch control with your feet, switch it on with your foot, then touch the + or - till you find a setting you're comfortable with and each session is automatically set at 30 mins with a countdown display.
