**Q: Can this be machined if I wanted to machine it down to a thinner profile?**
A: Yes, 304 stainless steel can be machined.  A tool and die maker that owns a surface grinder can reduce the thickness but the expense would exceed the cost of the part.  304 is too hard to file or sand to thin by hand.

**Q: Is this an ⅛” or 0.9” ?**
A: .9" is not even close to 1/8". It's 1/8"

**Q: Is this billet / bar stock or cut from plate?**
A: Most probably but ends are the only place it's noticeable.

**Q: Can this be drilled?**
A: Yes, I use a cobalt drill bit and cutting oil.
