The fluid is the same oil as the Mopar 8/9 speed bottles the dealers sell for $20+ a quart. I'm glad it came with all new hardware as the old hardware on my car had a little rust on them and you don't want to reuse aluminum bolts anyway. The pan fit perfect on my 2017 5.7L V8 dodge charger. The stamping from the manufacturer matched the replacement. The only difference was the filter inside when compared to dodge oem. Dodge had a USA filter and this replacement said ZF made in Germany. I'm glad the filter i put on with this kit is the same as the manufacturer of the transmission. Oem is too pricey and I didn't want to use any cheap Dorman parts. Some notes to make the process easier for you... The bolts for the pan are torx t40. I needed a shallow t40 and a standard 1/4 drive t40 socket. The fill plug is 8mm Allen. Get a low profile/shorter 8mm Allen socket, or i used an 8mm 90 degree Allen key. The drain plug is 10mm Allen and the new pan already has the drain plug tight. Get a hand pump or fluid transfer pump that are flexible. The fill plug doesn't have a lot of clearance when adding the fluid. After 3 or so quarts the oil started coming out. I started the car, moved the shifter into ever gear for a minute and after it warmed up to operating temps I turned off the car. When you go to check the oil level it will take another quart of oil or so. I ended up draining 4.25 quarts, and using the same amount. Test drove and confirmed vehicle shifts great! I'm glad I stumbled on this seller and item as I was about to buy oem stuff and pay twice as much as this kit cost me. Review: Used for 2017 Dodge Durango R/T AWD Blacktop Edition - Slightly different than the OEM pan on my 2017 Dodge Durango R/T AWD Blacktop Edition with the 8HP70 transmission. Another reviewer said theirs didn’t come with magnets. I thought the same about mine but it turns out the little rectangles in the pan that have holes in them ARE the magnets. They are slightly weaker than my factory magnets but the holes create more magnetic surface area for debris collection and allow the fluid to pass through. I don’t know if I’ll use this kit again as I prefer the slightly deeper pan that came with the truck, but so far after 100 miles since the change the trans seems to shift fine and trans fluid temperatures look normal. Note: I ordered one extra quart (litre) of fluid on top of the (7) included with this kit. We only replaced 4 quarts (litres) of fluid so there may be some left over depending on your application. Best practice would be to measure precisely how much fluid you take out so you know precisely how much you need to put back in. We didn’t do that on mine because none of us were thinking but hindsight is 20/20.
